Delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your SafroPay account and associated personal data here. You do not need to sign in, reinstall the app, or have access to your old device to send a request.
Send a deletion request
Email Safro Support with the subject below and your registered phone number or email address so we can identify the account. If possible, send it from your registered email. If you cannot access that email or phone, tell us so we can help with verification.
Email deletion requestThis opens your email app. Review the message and press Send there; clicking this button alone does not submit a request or delete your account.

Subject: SafroPay account and data deletion request
Never email your PIN, password, one-time code (OTP), full BVN/NIN, card security code, or identity documents. Support will explain any secure verification steps needed.
What happens next
- Support reviews your request and verifies account ownership before taking action.
- Any remaining wallet or referral balance, pending payment, active escrow, or dispute needs to be resolved before account closure. You can still send your request now and ask for help resolving these items.
- Account closure and personal-data deletion are reviewed separately. Sending an email does not immediately erase your records. Ask support for the expected completion time and confirmation of the outcome.
What happens to your data
- Account access
- Permanent account closure disables sign-in, revokes sessions, clears login and transaction PIN credentials, and removes registered push-notification tokens. This is not the same as deleting all account records.
- Other personal data
- Your request can cover profile and contact information, uploaded images or documents, support messages, and other data associated with your account. Ask support to confirm which items can be deleted and which need to be retained; this page does not automatically remove them.
- Records that may need to be retained
- Transaction and payment history, identity-verification records, and relevant fraud, dispute, or audit records may need to remain for regulatory, security, or legal reasons. Backup copies may also remain beyond account closure.
- Retention periods
- The applicable period depends on the record and any outstanding legal or regulatory requirements. Ask support to identify the retained data, the reason, and the applicable retention period when reviewing your request. Account closure does not mean that all retained records or backups are immediately erased.
